Class of 2027

  • On behalf of the NTPA, welcome back for second semester!  We hope your holidays were joyful and that your students are returning refreshed and recharged.

    Here are a few things to keep in mind:

    • The January Sophomore Newsletter is now available along with links to the Navigating Course Selection and Requirements Grid and the Sophomore Course Selection FAQ. You can click here for the newsletter and you can also find it by going to Student Services>Post-High School Counseling>Sophomores>Newsletters. Take a look at it now to find out more about standardized testing, MaiaLearning, and course selection.

      Sophomore Parent Night is next week on Jan. 22 or 23. Both evening’s programs will be the same. This is a parent/guardian-only event, as students are getting their information from the counselors in advisery. For the sake of space and attendance, we encourage parents/guardians whose student’s last name starts with A-K to attend on Wednesday the 22nd and those whose student’s last name starts with L-Z to attend on Thursday the 23rd. It will start in Gaffney at 7PM and then after the main presentation you will have the chance to meet in a small group with your student’s assigned post-high school counselor. The main presentation will be recorded and posted online after the event.

    • Sophomore Parent Coffee - Weds, Feb 26 9:30-10:30am is a great opportunity to learn about Post High School Counseling

    • Don’t forget to check out the Membership Toolkit App for your mobile devices. It provides access to loads of valuable content including the Directory, District Calendar, PowerSchool, and even a direct link to Report an Absence

    Parents of current New Trier students receive occasional email from the NTPA (if they "opted in" to receiving communications from the NTPA). If you have not received anything yet, please check your junk and promotions folders. If you still don’t find anything, email ntparentsassociation@gmail.com and we will investigate.
