Class of 2026
-
Dear Fellow Senior Parents and Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you well and excited for this special year ahead! Our seniors have so much to look forward to, including new experiences and long-standing New Trier traditions.
As always, the mission of the New Trier Parents’ Association (NTPA) is to foster connections, provide clear communication, and offer opportunities for parents to support and enrich the New Trier journey. We are here to keep you informed and engaged.
This year, our seniors will continue building on the success of the NCCP Service Project, initiated by our students and embraced by so many parents. Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to serve the North Chicago community.
We encourage you to continue to utilize this page for updates and essential links—a convenient one-stop resource for all your needs. You can also join the conversation on the New Trier Parents Facebook page to stay informed about upcoming parent coffees and programs. While this year will be filled with the usual school activities such as Homecoming and Prom, it also brings about the long-standing senior only traditions of Trucks on Trevian, Thanksgiving Pie Sale, Winter Carnival, May Day, Trevia Day, Graduation, and the all night Graduation Party. PARENT COFFEE RECAP
In October, we hosted our first Senior Parent Coffee, which was well-attended by parents. Guest speakers included Adviser Chairs Julie Smith & Darrin Jeziorski; Assistant Principal, Trish Sheridan, and Post High School Counselor, Tom Shorrock. Key senior events & dates were highlighted. A guest speaker from North Chicago Community Partners discussed the impact our New Trier Class of 2026 has had on their organization and shared upcoming plans for a senior year service project. Thank you to all of the parents that stayed afterward and assembled 75 “care kits” for the NCCP teachers. See all of the slides here.PIE SALE - GET YOUR PIECE
The Annual Senior Class Pie Sale has begun! This is a perfect opportunity to buy pies for your loved ones, thank a NT staff member, or buy a pie for a teacher at North Chicago Community Partners, the partner organization for the Senior Class Service Project. Teachers will be available for individual five-minute video conferences using Meet the Teacher software. For more information, please visit the Virtual Parent-Teacher Conference webpage.GRAD PARTY 101
On October 23rd, you should have received an eblast about our epic 2026 Graduation Party! Here are the basics:- SAVE THE DATE. Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 10:45pm - 4:00am at the Northfield campus gyms. The party is an all-inclusive, all-night celebration. There will be a DJ, dancing, casino, games, food, raffle prizes, and more!
- VOLUNTEER FOR THE NIGHT OF THE PARTY. The success of this party depends on over 200 parent volunteers! Watch your email in January for a signup link with a variety of volunteer shifts and times from our Volunteer Chairs, Jenn Mullman and Buddy Bush. Please keep in mind that each parent volunteer is required to sign up separately and participate in a safety and security training program in May. If you have questions in the meantime, please email newtriergradparty@gmail.com.
- CONTRIBUTE TO THE FUNDING OF THE PARTY. Every graduate has access to this party - no entry fee or ticket is required. Each year, the NTPA collects dues that help fund a wide range of programs and events supporting our students, parents and teachers. These funds cover expenses such as parent education programs, teacher appreciation initiatives, and community events – in addition to the Graduation Party. Over the years, the cost of hosting a memorable and safe graduation celebration has continued to rise due to increased vendor, supply and security expenses. While NTPA dues cover a portion of these costs, we seek additional VOLUNTARY donations to ensure that we can continue to provide a unique, safe and memorable experience for nearly 1,000 students. We are so grateful for any donation you see fit to make for your student’s Grad Party. Your donation is fully tax-deductible and you will receive an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes. You may donate online through the Revtrak website by clicking on this Grad Party Donation link. If you would rather donate a specific item, be on the lookout for an Amazon Raffle Wish List coming in January!
- IN-KIND DONATIONS. Got some great connections to procure awesome items such as food, drinks, sports/concert tickets, raffle items, etc.? Please email newtriergradparty@gmail.com.
