Overview of gradebook policy changes
Supporting Student Learning & Well-Being
At your May department meetings, you heard from your chair/coordinator about the decision to move to a common schoolwide in-progress gradebook. This has been discussed from time to time over years, but this year it became evident that our current systems for monitoring student progress and identifying struggling students are outdated, inefficient, and ineffective. Using a common gradebook will provide real-time progress monitoring, facilitate the development of an early intervention system, and increase meaningful time for faculty, staff, and students.
