Grades
- Incoming Freshmen: No credit is earned for summer school courses, and these courses will not appear on the student’s transcript.
- Graded Courses (Rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors): Students earn letter grades as they do during the regular school year. These courses cannot be taken for audit credit. Students must register for Summer School in levels corresponding to their current grade level. Any changes in course level require the submission of a "Schedule Change" form through the adviser before the first day of Summer School. Level changes will not be permitted after the second day of each semester.
- Enrichment Courses and Sports: Available to rising Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. These courses do not earn credit and will not appear on the student’s transcript.

Attendance
- Incoming Freshmen: A student who exceeds the absence limit for a class may be dropped from the class. Three tardies are counted as one absence. Any single tardy exceeding 30 minutes will be counted as an absence.
- Rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: For attendance purposes, a 1-credit course consists of two semesters, and the following attendance rules apply:
- Students may miss no more than 2 days per semester.
- Three tardies to a class are counted as one absence.
- Any tardy exceeding 30 minutes will be counted as an absence.
- Specific Absence Limits:
- Courses meeting 2 hours/day for 3 1/2 weeks: 2-day absence limit.
- Courses meeting 2 hours/day for 7 weeks: 4-day absence limit (2 days per semester).
- Courses meeting 4-5 hours/day for 7 weeks: 4-day absence limit (2 days per semester).
- Exceptions: Please note exceptions for Personal Finance and Driver Education.
- All students in academic courses must be present on the day of the final exam.

Reporting an Absence
- Email the teacher directly to report a Summer School absence.

Note:
- Students in enrichment courses who exceed the absence limit will not receive credit and may be dropped from the course.
- For graded courses, a student who exceeds the absence limit before the drop date will be removed from the class, receive no credit, and will not be allowed to rejoin.
- For graded courses, a student who exceeds the absence limit after the drop date will receive an "F" grade and be removed from the class.

Drop Dates
- Semester 1 Deadline: June 24, 3:00 PM
- Semester 2 Deadline: July 18, 3:00 PM
Students must drop graded courses before the deadline, or the course will be recorded on the transcript with a grade of WP (Withdraw/Pass) or WF (Withdraw/Fail).
