    10:15 am - 11:45 am ~ Student Jam Session hosted by MYAC’s Jazz Faculty – W301 - IGSS Room – 3rd Floor

    11:00 am - 2:00 pm ~ Lunch Available in W150 – Trevian Commons – Cash Only, Small Bills Preferred.

    11:00 am - 1:30 pm ~ Director’s Lounge Open for complimentary lunch W130 (Staff Dining Room)

    12:00 pm - 12:30 pm ~ Maddie Vogler Quintet (Gaffney Auditorium)

    12:45pm - 1:35pm ~ Junior High Sight Reading Band (reading grade 1.5-3 charts). All junior high students are encouraged to bring their instruments and participate in this reading session. 2nd Floor Rotunda

    12:45pm - 1:35pm ~ Special Interest Clinic: Jazz Piano for the non-pianist. Virtually every successful jazz musician has some piano chops. This session will show you how to get started. Presented by Joan Hickey, jazz piano professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign – W301 – IGSS Room – 3rd Floor

    12:45pm - 1:35pm ~ Special Interest Clinic: You can (and should) be an arranger! Joe Clark, arranging professor at Northwestern and DePaul Universities, will walk you through your first steps to an arrangement for your small group. W350 – Third Floor Commons, North End.

    1:45pm - 2:35pm ~ High School Sight Reading Band (reading grade 3-4 charts). High school students are encouraged to bring their instruments and participate in this reading session. 2nd Floor Rotunda

    1:45pm - 2:35pm ~ Special Interest Clinic: Rhythm is your portal to better solos!  Join saxophonist and educator Brent Griffin for a session on how to make rhythm the central focus of your improvisation. W301 – IGSS Room – 3rd Floor – geared toward high school students

    1:45pm – 2:35pm ~ Special Interest Clinic: Play along with your favorite jazz recordings – first steps to learning melody, style, and an introduction to transcribing. Jake Shapiro, clinician. W350 – 3rd Floor – geared toward junior high and younger high school students

    2:50pm – 3:10pm ~ Jazz Director’s Big Band – Gaffney Auditorium

    3:20pm – 4:30pm ~ Master Classes with members of the Generation Gap Jazz Orchestra - Every Student Must Attend! Please DO NOT bring your instruments.
