Open to Sophomores and Juniors
Do you like good food? If so, this class is for you! In this Sophomore/Junior cooking class, students with or without experience will explore the how's and why's of preparing delicious foods. Students will work together in the culinary lab to plan, prepare and serve meals every day. Student input is an invaluable component of this course, as students propose recipes of their own to add to the curriculum. Course favorites include homemade pasta, brownie parfaits, steak tacos, dumplings and popcorn chicken. In addition, current food trends, cooking methods and nutrition are discussed. Plunge in and have fun in this course while you build your reputation as a terrific cook!
