Architectural Models
-
Architectural Models is an advance architectural course you can take after Introduction to Architecture or Interior Design. This class is designed to challenge students through authentic architectural projects where students will think, design, and build with their hands. Every project reinforces the architectural design process and creative process for thinking and developing projects. As a class we build conceptual, concept, working, study, and presentation models. Students experiment with all sorts of materials and design technology while infusing architectural history and innovation in designs. Design projects incorporate nature, land, and forms that ultimately will create space or experiences. Past projects have included proposals to the Winnetka Park District, Historical Societies, Developers in Chicago, Community Members, partnership with universities and other organizations. All projects have been designed to not only facilitate growth with creative confidence, they have been designed to create original work for future architectural portfolios.
